You do not have permssion to access \\server\folder
Running Windows 7 Ultimate, have a folder shared on a Windows Server 2008 machine. Windows 7 is connected to the same domain as the server, but logged in as alocal account with the same username and password as a domain user that has access to the shared folder. This should work, but all I'm getting is the error "You do not have permssion to access \\server\folder. Contact your network administrator to request access."Note: It works if I'm signed onto the domain account on the windows 7 computer.Any ideas?

Got the answer on another thread, using the FQDN (\\server.domain.com\folder) worked. Why? Who knows. Probably a setting somewhere that does something.
